At the end of their trip, they return home to Massachusetts. Soon afterwards, their mother remarries Mr. Beadle. Although it seems like everything is fine now, trouble soon follows.

Movie Adaptations

In the movie adaptations, we see the same story told differently. Instead of focusing on the four sisters, we follow the adventures of Jo March. We start our journey with Jo attending college. Then, we watch her fall in love with Professor Bhaer. Next, we witness her marriage to him. Lastly, we see her raise her five sons.

Spinoff Series

In the spinoff series, we meet a few new characters. For instance, we meet Laurie’s younger brother Jack. He’s a good friend of Jo’s son Charles.
